In front of us, exhausted as we were, was a huge, jet black door.

The Demon King must be among them.

It's been a long and difficult battle so far...

The number of members who had been there before is now down to four. It's just the usual group.

What happened before we got here... it's going to take a long time to explain.

...Everything was fine until we gathered in front of the castle gate.

The soldiers were full of motivation thanks to my cool morale boosting declaration.

However, suddenly, a blue dragon appeared from above.

It was probably something like a guardian protecting the castle.

That guy was damn strong! It looked similar to the one in the Fire Dragon's Cave, but his strength was on another level. With one giant fireball, half of the 30 Royal Knights were destroyed in an instant.

My defensive magic protection is easily broken...

I'm already starting to want to go home, around here. We haven't even entered the castle yet.

Aria drew her sword and muttered to herself, "Damn, I can't reach it!", and Reno just clung to me, saying she was scared. The kingdom's knights were no match for the blue dragon in the sky, so they're just useless! That's what I thought.

Luckily, Aleph made an incredible leap and got right up to the dragon's chest, made some incredible movements, and launched some incredible attacks, and before we knew it, the Blue Dragon's head had flown off.

I don't know exactly what he was doing because I couldn't see his movements.

By the time the Blue Dragon subjugation was over, the 30 soldiers had dwindled to around 10.

That's when I realized, the rest of them will probably die too.

After defeating the Blue Dragon, the castle gate opened with a loud noise and we were able to enter.

What kind of system is that? It's not an RPG.

It was pretty dark inside the castle, so I used the Intense Light to brighten up the whole area as we went forward. Useful magic really comes in handy at times like these.

After walking a little further, we came out into a large room. It was bright, but I had a bad feeling about it. Sure enough, a huge monster appeared from the back. I wonder if it was a mid-boss.

He had a muscular body and a pair of horns, it looked like something I'd seen somewhere before. As for strength, well... a kingdom knight clad in full armor was torn to shreds and sent flying just by being hit by him, so it was insane.

What do you think I can do against such a dangerous guy? I picked up Reno and quickly stepped back. If I got hit by something like that, it's probably the end.

Aria drew her sword and stepped back, shouting "Bring it on!", and the kingdom's knights who had boldly charged towards him were kicked around like trash, and only about three remained.

By the way, Aria!! She's so useless.

She was just unsheathing her sword until we got here, seriously!

Luckily, Aleph attacked the beast with incredible force, and after a short battle of some incredible kind, he shot out a beam of light that opened a hole in the beast's body and prevented it from moving.

I don't know exactly what they were doing, but all I could see is the beam.

We somehow managed to join forces and defeat the monster, and moved on.

At this point, there were only seven of us left, but there were still some crazy ones.

As we were going forward, one of the kingdom's knights suddenly stopped moving, so I approached him, pretending to be worried. Then...

The kingdom knight's head began to tremble, then it was blown off, and a huge insect-like thing came out from inside his headless body. It was so gross that it moved around in a squiggly manner in place of his head, and I instinctively screamed and stepped back.

Reno and I were trembling as we hugged each other and tried to distance ourselves from the creepy knight.

Aria drew her sword and shouted, "What the hell is that?!" but no action was done.

The two remaining kingdom knights were outraged at the sight of their comrade and charged forward, but the insect's mouth on its head suddenly opened wide and with blinding speed it ripped the upper half of one of the kingdom knights' body off.

Seeing this, the other knight of the kingdom suddenly became frightened.

When he tried to escape, his entire body was dissolved by the liquid that was spewed from the insect's mouth.

What happened to the pride of a knight? It's a pathetic story.

So, with this, the Kingdom Knights have been wiped out.

Oh, by the way, Aleph defeated the insect man. He cut it in half with one slash of the holy sword. If he was defeated with one hit, maybe he was actually a weakling...?

After that, various monsters and demons attacked us, but we joined forces and defeated them!

And so the four of us made it all the way to the Demon King's chamber.

"Finally, we've arrived..."

Aria said in a tired voice, did you do something?

"That's right, Nee-san. Up ahead... is the Demon King."

I continued after Aria's words in a tired tone.

Then, that guy Reno approached me with a worried look on her face.

"Onee-chan, are you okay?"

"Reno, it's okay. For the sake of those who lost their lives, we..."

"Yes, we will win. For sure."

Aleph, who doesn't seem tired at all, encourages me, but honestly, I wish he'd realize that he's just as much of a headache as the Demon King.

"Yes, Aleph. Okay then, everyone, let's get started!"

"I understand! I'll... protect everyone."

"I'll protect you, Onee-chan."

"There's nothing to worry about, Chris. We'll quickly take the Demon King's head and put an end to this."

The Aleph guy forcefully pried open the huge, pitch-black door.

Now, it's finally time to meet the Demon King!

We'll show you our power!
