The first person to discover the incident, a neighbor, rushed to the scene after hearing a loud noise and called the emergency department.
There was no known relationship between the first discoverer and the suspect or victim.
The police will conduct voluntary questioning of seriously injured patient A as a key witness after he is released from hospital.

There were 19 suspects and victims, including A.
They gathered at the scene of the incident at the same time on the same day.
Injuries occurred using knives and other implements that each person had brought with them.
About half were unconscious due to their injuries.

A herself was also injured in the abdomen by another suspect's knife.
The remaining half of the suspects stabbed themselves in the neck or abdomen with knives or other objects they were carrying, leaving them unconscious and injured.

At the hospital where they were taken, all 18 people except A were confirmed dead.
None of the deceased victims showed any signs of resistance to the assault.
The autopsy results indicated that those involved in the incident were suspected of having been given drugs, including illegal drugs.
During the interrogation, A repeatedly mentioned the name of the man, S, in a delirious manner.
As a result of the criminal trial, A was found not guilty as she was not held responsible.
After the criminal trial, A was admitted to a mental hospital.

He was already deceased at the time of the incident.
He have had relationships with all of the suspects and victims in this case.
While S was alive, there were a series of unnatural suicides among women who had previously been in relationships with S.
Due to the series of suicides, the area has become the subject of an investigation by the Prefectural Police.
No definitive causal relationship was found between the woman's suicide and S.
The investigation was closed due to insufficient evidence.

When the supervisor visited, there was no response from S, so he checked the room through the unlocked door.
They found S unconscious and called an ambulance.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was confirmed dead at the hospital.

S was holding a game console controller in his hand, so he was probably playing a video game.
Since no particular criminal activity was found, the police treated it as an accident.
