Chapter 47: The Heroes were Exhausted
The Heroes were Exhausted
With Tiana as the initiator, the heroes soon arrived at the demon capital through unlawful means.
Thanks to Satya's efforts, they were able to clear the checkpoint and enter the castle town safely.
However, it was already midnight.
"You should be grateful. It's only thanks to my fame that you were able to enter the castle town in the middle of the night like this!"
"Oh, thank you for your help, Satya. By the way, where are we staying tonight? I'm exhausted because of someone. I'd like to get some rest as soon as possible."
"Ugh..."
Tiana, walking a little distance behind, groaned.
"Huh? There's no lodging for you. I didn't expect for us to arrive so early. That's why I haven't done any groundwork."
That's right, there was no way they had secured lodging.
A march that was too fast.
The demons who had invited them would never have expected Alto and his friends to arrive less than a day after their departure.
"What?! No way! I finally made it into town and now I have to sleep outside! I don't want to! I'm hungry! I'm tired! I'm exhausted!"
"Hmm... Even I, who am confident in my physical strength, am tired... It's embarrassing, but I don't have the energy to look for a place to stay in this unfamiliar place."
In addition, Alto and the others were completely in a mess.
They ran as fast as they could from the murderous Satya all day.
Thanks to Tiana's healing magic, everyone was able to move a little more.
But the fatigue didn't go away completely.
"You can just give up and camp out. Don't worry, there shouldn't be any problems camping around the area where you disembark."
"That's a bit harsh. What about Satya-san?"
Alto calmly asked Satya, who was acting coldly.
"I'm going home to sleep. See you then."
"Wait a minute, Satya! Are you leaving us behind?! We could just stay at your house! Just take us!"
Asha cried out uncontrollably.
The accumulated fatigue had reached its limit.
"I refuse."
"Hey Satya, do something about that."
"That's impossible."
Alto begs again, but Satya's response is cold.
"Satya, I'm counting on you too. Everyone is exhausted. Except for the priest over there."
"Ugh..."
Tiana, who had been standing quietly a short distance away, turned away from Erina's words.
"Hmm... Now that I think of it, Erina was a member of royalty. Our country has just concluded a peace treaty. It would be bad for our reputation to let a noble from another country sleep outdoors, I guess..."
"Are you letting us stay the night?"
Alto is overjoyed and gets Satya to commit.
"Well, I'll do Erina a favor and invite you all to my house. I do have a guest room, after all. However, there is a condition."
"Just tell me anything. I'll do my best."
"I'm sorry to bother you when you're tired, but please help me clean up when you get home. There are no servants at home. It's probably covered in dust by now."
"That's a small price to pay."
"Also, Alto..."
"What?"
Satya approaches Alto and begins whispering in his ear right next to him.
"I want that ***** and ***** that bitch."
"...Well, it can't be helped. You could say it's her own fault. That's fine, but please go easy on her, okay?"
"I'll do my best, but I've had to endure a lot of hardship, so it's difficult to know how to handle it. Anyway, she is pretty sturdy, so it shouldn't be a problem. And... never go near my bedroom."
"I understand. Is that okay with you and Asha and Erina as well?"
"Well, it's fine, isn't it? I'm hungry and tired. I'll go to bed right after I eat."
"I'll go to bed as soon as I finish eating. I've reached my limit for the first time in a while."
"Okay, Satya. Do as you please."
Thus, a secret agreement was made between the hero and the demon general.
Then Satya turns to Tiana.
"And you perverted saint over there."
"Wh-What is it?... Also, calling me a pervert is unnecessary..."
"Shut up, pervert."
"Ehh~... I'm not even a saint anymore."
Asha couldn't contain her laughter and burst out laughing.
"Give me the food and alcohol you have in your hand."
"Haah?! I can serve you food, but... I don't have any alcohol. I didn't store any drink yet, have I? Alcohol? I don't have any."
Tiana replied, looking away.
"You're bad at lying! Just let it out."
Satya continues to blackmail Tiana.
"No, there really isn't."
"Either it exists or it doesn't! ... Hmph, then you go sleep on the cobblestones under the eaves. I'll only let these guys use the sleeping space."
"Ugh, just me?! I'll pay! I'll give you some alcohol! Don't leave me out! Let me stay too!"
Tiana, who had been scolded by the three of them, was unusually depressed.
And so she clings to her former nemesis.
"Hehe... You should have said that from the beginning."
Tiana felt pathetic and inferior to herself.
Seeing the saint like that, Satya felt the greatest sense of satisfaction she had felt in a while.
"That's terrible... Is this my fault too... Ah... My liquor stock... Ugh... Sniff"
"Don't worry, you're the one who's drinking it."
"Huh?"
"Well, whatever, let's go now. Be honored to be invited into my home."
Satya's steps towards the house seemed surprisingly quick.
