V2: Chapter 87: How Come the Top and Bottom are Reversed?

"Sis... Sister Liang Lin."

Liang Di's crying stopped abruptly. Tears still lingered on her face, and a few drops slid down her cheeks onto the sheets. She already had a pure and innocent appearance, and now, with her red lips agape in surprise, staring in astonishment at Liang Lin on top of her, she looked even more pitiful.

"You, you..."

Liang Di stammered. This was the first time she had been pushed onto the bed by Liang Lin.

If you had to rank them by appearance, Liang Lin definitely looked like she should be on top—a pointed chin, fox-like eyes filled with a fierce glint.

If she and Liang Di stood together, and she wore platform shoes, everyone would immediately say that Liang Lin was on top and Liang Di was on the bottom.

Unfortunately, the top and bottom were reversed; Liang Lin could only be pinned down by Liang Di.

However, in this scene, it was undeniable that Liang Lin was indeed on top of Liang Di.

At this moment, Liang Lin realized the awkward situation. Because, inadvertently, she moved her arm and accidentally brushed against that soft, fleshy skin. The gentle touch sent a shiver down her spine and gave her goosebumps.

Oh my god!

Only then did Liang Lin realize that she was pressed against Liang Di, with one leg between her thighs—a very suggestive and amusing position.

After blushing inexplicably, Liang Lin felt a strange sense of satisfaction, as if she had gotten her revenge.

This position was right; it should be me on top of Liang Di, not Liang Di on top of me.

Who am I? I am Liang Lin, how could I be the pitiful little thing being pinned down forever?

After a moment of secret satisfaction, Liang Lin and Liang Di stared at each other in silence for a long time, the atmosphere gradually shifting from ambiguous to awkward.

Liang Lin had no idea what to say. Given their current position, she didn't know what to say, so she could only stare intently into the other's eyes. The two of them remained silent, gazing at each other for a long time.

Finally, Liang Di couldn't hold back any longer.

Liang Lin's gesture had almost completely dissipated Liang Di's initial anger, leaving only a faint sadness. However, smelling Liang Lin's pleasant scent, Liang Di felt lightheaded and didn't even care about being sad anymore.

"Sister Liang Lin, I... I'm not angry... Maybe I was a little, but I know, it's not your fault, it was my fault that you said those things, I'm sorry, sister..."

Wow, these sweet words, coupled with Liang Di's blushing and bashful appearance, felt like a blow to Liang Lin's heart. It felt like a boxer was punching her fragile heart repeatedly.

Damn it, why did I say that to her?

Thinking of Liang Di's pitiful, tearful face, Liang Lin's conscience was struck again.

“Yes, yes, it wasn't my fault…” Liang Lin muttered softly, then regretted it, realizing it was inappropriate, and quickly tried to salvage the situation, “Anyway, anyway, I’ve already explained it to you. I didn’t mean it that way. Just don’t misunderstand me. I hate it when people misunderstand me.”

Ah…

Sayings of concern, apologizing, or explaining… these words just wouldn’t come out! Damn it.

Liang Lin was annoyed.

“Then, in that case, don’t cry,” Liang Lin said.

Liang Di nodded obediently, blinking her big, wet, sapphire-blue eyes, a slight smile unconsciously playing on her lips. If she was a ruffled puppy just now, then now she was a well-behaved puppy whose fur had been smoothed out by her owner.

“I’m not crying anymore, sister. See, I’m not crying anymore.”

Her voice was soft and sweet, even softer than usual.

Liang Di also felt her voice was rather strange; why was it so charming? It hadn't been like this before.

Perhaps it was because of her current posture, giving her a feeling of being a little bird nestled against someone, so her voice unconsciously became even softer and gentler.

Liang Lin had the same feeling, so she lowered her voice, her eyes flashing with even more ferocity, and she even struck what she thought was a very cool expression.

"Okay, it's good that you're alright. Otherwise, if people saw you crying, they'd think I bullied you, and I don't want my reputation as a wicked woman to spread any further."

Liang Lin continued speaking against her will.

The conversation seemed to have ended there.

Liang Lin felt it would be impolite to continue pressuring Liang Di.

Besides, this love-struck fool might misunderstand; what if she thought I cared about her, or that I liked her a little? That would be terrible.

So, Liang Lin straightened up and released Liang Di.

"Since you're alright, I'll go back now. No more crying, understand?"

Oh my, those two sentences sound pretty domineering.

Liang Di nodded. "I won't cry anymore, Sister..."

Liang Lin said as she walked out, "Okay, I'll go back then..."

Before she could finish, Liang Di suddenly grabbed her index and middle fingers. Liang Lin turned around in confusion and saw Liang Di biting her lower lip, looking pitiful. Even though the curtains were drawn, obscuring much of the room's color, Liang Lin had a strange feeling that Liang Di's face was unusually flushed.

"Sister Liang Lin, please don't go over there, okay?"

Liang Lin didn't understand. She paused, then asked awkwardly, "Where...where is 'over there'? Explain yourself, I don't understand."

Liang Di gripped her index and middle fingers even tighter.

"Don't go to Natalie's. She's probably still waiting for you in the back garden, right? Please don't go looking for her, okay?"

"Stay here with me, or,..." Liang Di hesitated, her expression turning somewhat dejected, her head drooping, "...or if you don't want to see me, don't want to stay with me, then go back to your own room. But, but please don't go back to the back garden to see Natalie, okay?"

"At least, at least don't go see her today, at least don't talk to her today."

Ah…

Liang Lin was stunned for a moment.

Liang Di's words were pitiful, her expression and behavior equally pitiful. It was like a normally well-behaved child, suddenly craving candy, shaking her guardian's hand, cautiously pleading, then, worried about angering them, her voice growing softer and her requests fewer.

"Hey, why do you look like a stray dog…"
