V2: Chapter 140: Your Pain, I Will Heal

“.....”

Liang Lin swallowed hard, her Adam's apple bobbing. She couldn't resist the other's burning gaze, a gaze that seemed to melt her entire being, leaving only her soul.

“If, if, it were just a light touch of lips…”

Liang Lin finally relented. She couldn't bear the expectant look in her eyes. She feared that if she stubbornly refused, she would be met with the look of a disappointed puppy. Although she knew it wasn't her fault, and that she could accept or refuse as she pleased, she still felt a pang of guilt for letting her down.

“Okay…”

Liang Di drawled.

Their red lips gradually met, their breaths mingling, an irresistible feeling washing over them both. Liang Di's arms, which had been wrapped around Liang Lin's neck, unconsciously relaxed, resting limply on her shoulders.

Liang Lin sat in the swivel chair, and Liang Di sat on her lap. Liang Lin enjoyed the feeling. She could hold Liang Di's slender waist, experiencing a thrill of complete control.

When their lips met, both their hearts skipped a beat.

In a sense, Liang Lin felt this was their first kiss.

Previous kisses, whether forced or accidental, didn't count.

Only a kiss given willingly by both could be considered a true first kiss.

So this is what kissing feels like?

Although it was just a light touch, nothing too dramatic, it was enough to make Liang Lin's heart race. Liang Di's scent was wonderful, a light floral fragrance lingering in her nostrils, intoxicating her.

Suddenly, she felt a slight dampness on her lips.

Liang Di's tongue, without her noticing, had touched her lips, wet and incredibly soft, like a marshmallow dipped in water.

Liang Lin's body trembled violently.

She clearly agreed it would just be a light touch of the lips, so what does this mean?

Liang Di was truly unable to control herself. And it's understandable; anyone seeing Liang Lin's shy demeanor would find it hard to resist. It was a striking contrast—usually fierce and with such a willful appearance, but when she blushed, she was unexpectedly adorable. How could anyone resist?

"Alright."

"That's enough."

Liang Lin, still retaining her composure, gently pushed Liang Di's shoulder away. "That's enough, no more, no more."

If they stayed close, everyone knew what would happen next. They were all adults; they understood. Some things need to be expressed; keeping them bottled up will harm your health.

Liang Di reluctantly moved her face away, but her eyes remained fixed on Liang Lin's face, as if pleading for more affection.

"No more."

This time, Liang Lin said firmly.

“Okay…”

Liang Di slumped her head in disappointment.

Although she wasn't full, she was thirst-quenched, which was better than a life of abstinence and monotony. Being able to eat some appetizers was enough for her. Otherwise, she would only be able to secretly fantasize about her Sister Liang Lin in bed every night, or have a dream about Liang Lin. Although they would make love in the dream, she wouldn't feel anything.

What else could she do? Could she resort to secret hypnosis? Using it too much would make her feel guilty, like she was some kind of vulgar, filthy person.

So, even a light touch now was enough for Liang Di.

“Sister Liang Lin, does this mean…”

Liang Di wanted to ask if this meant they were officially committed to each other, but the words stuck in her throat. She decided against humiliating herself. If her sister Liang Lin truly wanted to solidify their relationship, she wouldn't have given such vague hints, nor would she have rejected more explicit actions. Deep down, she still harbored some reservations.

However, these reservations would gradually fade with time.

Thinking this, Liang Di felt much better again.

Seeing that the other woman had only spoken halfway through, Liang Lin asked, "What are you trying to say?"

Liang Di smiled and shook her head. "Nothing. Time will tell, sister."

These words were loaded with meaning, and Liang Lin wasn't stupid; she understood.

She nodded.

“I also hope that time can prove everything and erase those unpleasant memories.”

“No, what I mean is, time can prove everything, but those unpleasant memories shouldn’t be forgotten just because time has passed.” Liang Di gently rubbed Liang Lin’s cheek with her fingertips, her voice so gentle it could melt water. “Those unpleasant memories should be erased by the person who created them.”

“Pain shouldn’t be forgotten. Forgetting means it’s buried deep in some corner of your heart. Once triggered by a certain stimulus, the pain will resurface, and that doesn’t address the root cause; it just buries the memory.”

At this point, Liang Di took a deep breath.

She took Liang Lin’s hand and held it to their chests, solemnly saying, “Liang Lin’s pain should be healed by me.”

These words deeply shocked Liang Lin; she couldn’t believe these words came from Liang Di’s mouth.

Two years ago, Liang Di was incredibly selfish, only seeking her own happiness; the Liang Di who had imprisoned her in the basement, creating countless unpleasant memories for her.

Words truly have power.

At this moment, Liang Lin felt, deep down, that she had forgiven her. The next second, she cursed herself inwardly; just a few kind words had moved her; she was so easily fooled and coaxed.

Despite these thoughts, a small sense of anticipation and gratitude remained.

"Liang Di, I'll remember what you said today." Liang Lin gave the tentacle girl a deep look, hesitated for a moment, then grasped her hand in return. "I hope you won't disappoint me in the future."

Liang Di smiled, a smile sweeter than ever.

"Yes!"

Resolutely.

"I will definitely not let Sister Liang Lin down again! Absolutely not!"

That determined little face.

Liang Lin looked at Liang Di.

For a long time.

Liang Lin slowly sat up and gave Liang Di a light kiss on the cheek.

The kiss was full of love, at least that's what Liang Di thought.

After that, Liang Di couldn't remember when Liang Lin left the room, or what she said before leaving. She felt dizzy, as if she had fallen into the clouds.

"Oh my god... it feels like a dream, Bellica."

Even though Bellica wasn't beside her, Liang Di kept murmuring to the air in front of her, "I'm so happy, really, I feel like I could die right now, and that happiness would be eternal."

Liang Di spun around in place, again and again, her long, silvery-white hair a mess, like a bird's nest.

Finally, Liang Di crossed her arms over her chest and collapsed onto one of her tentacles. She hugged her tentacles tightly, pressed her cheek against them, and finally revealed her unique, silly smile.

"Hehehe..."

"I really want to propose to Sister Liang Lin tomorrow...!"
