V2: Chapter 142: Give Me a Kiss, and I'll Let You Go

Gael's shrill voice reached Liang Lin and Liang Di's ears.

Liang Lin shuddered.

If Gael turned into this alley and saw the two of us in this morally ambiguous situation, we'd be in deep trouble.

"Look, Gael's already come looking for you! Get off me right now and get out of here! Oh dear, what about your dress?! You...you...!"

Damn it, Liang Di's arm is missing a piece of fabric. How could she get out? If she went out, what would she say if Gael questioned her? Can she say it was accidentally torn? Or that a stray cat ripped it off?

Liang Lin was frantic, but Liang Di remained unhurried.

Gael's voice grew closer.

Liang Lin tried to pull Liang Di off, but Liang Di's legs clung even tighter. A sly smile played on her lips, her eyes gleaming with triumph, as if she were announcing her small victory to the world.

"Sister, you seem really anxious."

Anxious! Of course I'm anxious! How could I not be!

Liang Lin was frantic.

"How could I not be anxious! Get off me right now! Then go find Gael! If he comes and sees us hugging like this, all our plans to salvage the situation will be ruined! Stop messing around!"

Liang Lin tugged at Liang Di a couple more times, but this time she didn't dare use too much force. She was afraid that if she pulled too hard, she would tear off the delicate fabric at the back of Liang Di's back, and then there would be no way to cover it up.

“Then.....”

Liang Di leaned close to Liang Lin’s ear, speaking in a seductive tone, “Sister Liang Lin, how about… you kiss me, and I’ll let go of you and leave, okay?”

She originally wanted to say “Please beg me,” but hesitated for a second, afraid that the other woman would recall her unpleasant memories of the past, so she simply gave up.

“You....!”

Liang Lin almost flew into a rage, her anger rising, and she couldn’t catch her breath.

“Miss Liang Di!”

“Miss Liang Di! Where are you?!”

Gael’s calls brought Liang Lin back to her senses. She gritted her teeth and glared fiercely at Liang Di. Then, she pouted and quickly kissed Liang Di on the cheek.

Chuu!

Exceptionally loud.

“Is that enough now!” Liang Lin said irritably, “Can you get off me now! Hurry up! You’re really shameless!”

Her words are still as venomous as ever, saying whatever came to mind.

Liang Di grinned, indicating she was used to it and even quite enjoyed it.

"Okay~"

Liang Di released Liang Lin's neck and jumped off.

Liang Lin was furious but helpless. Gael's voice was too close; she didn't dare turn around and quickly disappeared into the depths of the alley.

Before leaving, as she passed Liang Di, she gritted her teeth and said, "Just wait and see how I deal with you when we get back. I can't do anything to you here, but you'll see when we get back."

Liang Di's smile widened.

She was really looking forward to being "bullied" by her beloved Liang Lin...

It is a happy and enjoyable thing!

The instant Liang Lin turned into the depths of the alley, Gael appeared at the alley entrance.

"Miss Liang Di?!"

His surprised voice reached Liang Di's ears.

Then, Liang Di saw Gael jog up to her, panting, and bend down, asking with concern, "Miss Liang Di, you suddenly disappeared! I was so worried! Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere? What happened? Did you run into a bad guy? Why did you suddenly disappear?"

This barrage of questions annoyed Liang Di. She smiled on the surface, but inwardly she was cursing.

"Oh, just now... I saw... a cute little black kitten," Liang Di smiled, the image of the villainous girl flashing through her mind. "That kitten hooked its paw on my skirt, and it pulled me away!"

"Oh?"

Gael, confused, nodded blankly, then noticed the hole in Liang Di's sleeve.

"This, this wasn't scratched by that stray cat, was it?" Gal pointed to Liangdi's arm.

Liang Di looked down and nodded.

"Hmm."

Gael opened his mouth wide in exaggerated surprise.

"My goodness! That stray cat was really something, scratching such a beautiful lady like you! Are you alright? A stray cat's claws aren't clean. If you have any wounds, we'll go back to the palace immediately, and I'll call a doctor to treat them."

Liang Di: "....."

She felt this guy was crazy.

Liang Lin, eavesdropping deep in the alley: "....."

She felt insulted, but didn't know how to retort, and didn't dare to rush out and beat him up.

Damn it!

"It's alright, it didn't scratch me." Liang Di covered her arm, smiling politely. "It's okay, let's go to my tailor shop, I'll change my clothes."

"Yes, whatever you say, Miss Liang Di."

Gael politely gestured for her to proceed.

Liang Lin scoffed.

"Pretender."

While she cursed, her body betrayed her, and she continued to follow behind the two.

After changing her clothes, Liang Di continued her stroll, each harboring their own secrets, amidst Gael's praise.

When will this end?

Liang Lin grew increasingly impatient.

As dusk approached and the sunset was about to appear, Liang Di finally had her chance.

"Your Highness Gael, you dropped something."

Gael's handkerchief fell to the ground. Liang Di, quick as a flash, bent down and picked up the mud-stained blue handkerchief.

"Ah, okay, thank you."

Gael thanked her, preparing to take the handkerchief.

Just then, the handkerchief suddenly slipped from Liang Di's hand. Immediately afterward, Liang Di gripped Gael's hand tightly, her smile turning into a terrifying grimace. The next second, Liang Di, flustered and blushing, released his hand.

"Yes, I'm so sorry! Your Highness! I, I didn't mean to!"

Gael felt a sudden, indescribable stinging pain spread through his palm, as if countless tiny needles were pricking it.

Before he could respond to Liang Di's apology, he quickly raised his hand to examine it closely. His palm was completely unharmed; there wasn't a single needle mark, not even a red mark.

Ah…

Could it be that I was mistaken. Maybe I was hallucinating?

Gael was somewhat dazed.

"Your Highness?"

"Ah."

"Ah?" Gael was stunned.

Liang Di looked very uneasy. "Your Highness, are you angry with me? I didn't mean to throw away your handkerchief."

Heh, the poison has already been injected.

Liang Di thought meaningfully to Gael.
