V2: Chapter 158: Is It Really Okay to Do Bad Things in Front of Children?

“.....”

I have a feeling that the two of them are conspiring to fool people, but I have no proof.

Liang Lin blinked her beady eyes, looking quite wise. She looked at Liang Di, then at Carol.

“You really think so? No, no one taught you that?” Liang Lin asked again.

Carol nodded vigorously. “Yes, I really think so, Mama. Don’t you want to sleep with me? I really want to sleep with you, and with Mommy. Can we, Mama?”

Liang Lin looked at Liang Di again, her eyes seemingly hoping Liang Di would refuse. But this time, Liang Di whistled, her eyes drifting elsewhere, avoiding Liang Lin’s gaze, directly evading the question.

“.....”

Sure enough, this girl.

Even if Liang Di didn’t teach Carol to say such things, she probably really wanted to, and couldn’t wait to carry out Carol’s request.

Well, Liang Lin wasn't particularly unwilling to sleep in the same bed as Liang Di, it was just that she felt a little awkward with someone else in the bed. But if it was Liang Di, it wasn't so awkward.

However, Liang Lin couldn't let Liang Di guess her little secret, otherwise that guy would get too cocky.

Seeing that Liang Lin hadn't responded, Carol immediately pouted.

"Waaah~"

She looked pitiful, on the verge of tears.

"Because I have a fever today, so, so you two are sleeping with me?" Carol blinked her big, watery eyes, staring intently at Liang Lin, her voice trembling with tears, "Then, then I'd rather have a fever every day. If I have a fever and you two are with me, I'd dream of having a fever every day."

Holy crap! That green tea tone, that self-inflicted suffering… why does that sound so familiar, so familiar?

Liang Lin was momentarily stunned, feeling she saw a glimpse of a scheming, manipulative woman in Carol.

Meanwhile, Liang Di, behind her back, silently gave a thumbs-up.

As expected of my daughter, she perfectly inherited my superb acting skills! At only four years old, she could portray the image of a pitiful little girl so vividly. Truly, the student surpasses the teacher!

When Carol started crying, Liang Lin panicked and began frantically trying to calm her down.

"Don't cry, Carol, Mama didn't say she disagreed, don't cry, don't cry."

Carol clutched the hem of Liang Lin's clothes, continuing to sob.

"Don't cry, don't cry, I promise you, I promise you, okay?"

"Mmm..." Liang Lin hugged Carol, "It's possible, but, well, sometimes we don't have time, you could say most of the time we don't have time. Occasionally we can sleep together, but other times you'll have to sleep by yourself, or choose one of us to sleep with you, okay?"

Having almost achieved her goal, Carol immediately became obedient, snuggling closer to Liang Lin, and said in her sweet, childish voice, "Okay~ I know, Mama."

Her tears stopped instantly, flowing effortlessly. Although her nose and eye sockets were still a little red, there wasn't a trace of moisture left in her eyes.

"....."

Why do I feel like I've been tricked?

Liang Lin lowered her head, and Carol, in her arms, looked up, noticed her mother looking at her, and gave her a big smile.

Yes.

My daughter smiles so adorably, so brightly, so like a little angel, she would never trick me, never lie to me, and never deceive me.

Liang Lin silently hugged Carol tighter.

Liang Di, however, leaned in from opposite her. "I want to hug Carol to sleep too… Sister Liang Lin, let's do it together. Carol has a cold and needs to be warmer. If we both hug her, it'll be definitely warm."

"Don't...."

Before Liang Lin could finish speaking, Liang Di had already moved closer. She opened her arms, and although she was rather petite, she still managed to securely hug Carol and Liang Lin.

"Heave-ho~"

Carol was squeezed between her two mothers, like the filling in a sandwich. Although it was cramped, hot, and a little hard to breathe, being sandwiched between her two mothers was incredibly blissful.

"Hehe~"

Carol giggled.

"What are you laughing at?"

"I feel like I'm the happiest child in the world right now."

Carol hugged Liang Lin's mother and Liang Di's mother's arms tightly, one in each arm.

Liang Di chuckled secretly, though silently, a slight smile playing on her lips in the darkness. Her face was very close to Liang Lin's, her warm breath tickling Liang Lin's cheek.

"Hey, move a little further away, it's a bit uncomfortable," Liang Lin said, scratching her cheek twice. "Breath on the face tickles, you know?"

Perhaps Carol's earlier antics had given Liang Di a strange bit of courage, and after hearing her sister's words, she moved even closer.

"Chuu~"

"Sister, is it tickling here from my breath?" she said cheekily after kissing Liang Lin's cheek.

Liang Lin: Confused.jpg

No.

I think I was taken advantage of without even realizing it.

"No, that's not what I meant, you, you, really, you!" Liang Lin stammered.

If the candle in the candlestick hadn't gone out, leaving the room pitch black, Liang Di probably would have seen the blush on Liang Lin's face.

"Carol's still here! She saw it! What should we do? She's so young, she can't bear to look at this..."

Carol interrupted her, "What are you looking at, Mama?"

She started to lift her head.

Oh no!

This isn't a scene a child should see.

Liang Lin, quick-witted, pressed Carol's head down.

"You go to sleep, okay? Don't lift your head. If you do, we won't sleep with you anymore, understand?"

"Oh..."

Carol's voice was muffled, probably because her face was buried in Liang Lin's chest. Liang Lin, while not particularly plump, had a normal amount of body fat—enough to cover a small child's face.

“Carol’s down there, she can’t see,” Liang Di whispered in Liang Lin’s ear. “Liang Lin, don’t you think this makes it even more exciting? How about... we kiss?”

Liang Lin choked.

No.

Although, although it is indeed quite adrenaline-pumping, it does feel like doing something naughty behind someone’s back, it does make my heart race. But, but, the child is still in my arms, and to do this kind of thing secretly, well, this, this for a mother, is just too bad!

“Liang Lin.”

Liang Di noticed the other’s hesitation, so she didn’t continue.

“Liang Lin, if you don’t say anything and stay silent, I’ll take it as you being shy, as a yes~”

After saying that, before Liang Lin could hesitate any longer, Liang Di closed her eyes and leaned closer.

"Mmm..."

A soft scent touched her lips, and Liang Di's unique fragrance lingered in her nostrils, making her momentarily intoxicated. Liang Di's scent was always very pleasant, giving one the feeling of lingering among flowers.

Liang Lin pressed down on Carol's head even harder.
