V3: Chapter 9: Why Aren't You Pregnant Yet?
The birth of a newborn requires the union of two individuals, not just a boy and a girl, but also two girls who has taken the potion developed by the Magic Tower.
Liang Lin and Liang Di are currently facing such a situation. As long as blood is thicker than water… and the most crucial element is water, once the water merges, another daughter can be born, a daughter as adorable as Carol.
Liang Di could feel the warm current flowing into her body. Unlike last time, this time it was exceptionally noticeable. She didn't know if it was her imagination or if the potion was truly working. In any case, she felt exceptionally comfortable this time, more comfortable than ever before.
"Sister Liang Lin, I feel like we can succeed on our first try!"
Liang Di said.
This surprised Liang Lin so much that she almost stopped what she was doing.
"Didn't you say there was only a 50% chance? How do you feel like you can succeed on the first try?"
Liang Di blinked twice. "I guessed, I felt it in my heart."
Liang Lin thought the other person must be joking, or just teasing her like before. How could it be 100% strike? She wasn't like Liang Di, she wasn't some kind of tentacle monster, she definitely couldn't succeed on the first try!
She said this, but deep down, she was still a little worried. This worry didn't last long; the carefree Liang Lin forgot about it.
Life went on as usual.
Half a month passed, and Liang Di still didn't feel anything in her belly.
So, that time it really was just my imagination, right?
It was because after taking the medicine that she felt she could definitely get pregnant, that she had a delusion. Liang Di was a little annoyed, so she started pestering Liang Lin again.
"Liang Di." "
Liang Lin grasped the other's arm tightly.
"Let me tell you, pregnancy is really tough, and childbirth is painful too. So, if you can avoid it, please do so. Why are you so insistent? I think one daughter, Carol, is enough..."
Liang Di was somewhat sullen.
Although she wanted Liang Lin to get pregnant (Liang Di subconsciously felt that the daughter would resemble Liang Lin more, and she wanted her daughter to look like her wife), seeing Liang Lin's reluctance, she could only reluctantly give birth herself. But now, she wanted to give birth herself, and Liang Lin still refused, though she had softened her stance a little, she still frequently tried to persuade her.
"Sister Liang Lin, don't you want another child with me? You still hate me?"
Liang Di's mind was always so sensitive. She immediately felt annoyed, a hundred percent unhappy. She really wanted to tie Liang Lin up and take her again and again until they were both pregnant. Hmm, if only they could get pregnant at the same time.
Suddenly, a bold idea popped into Liang Di's head: she wanted to get pregnant with her sister's body.
Next time, Liang Di would secretly lay an egg on Liang Lin, telling her again that she wouldn't get pregnant this time either, making it 100% guaranteed. However, Liang Di was afraid that Liang Lin would get angry, and if she got her pregnant again without telling her, she might really lose her wife.
Sigh, there was no other way.
Liang Di dismissed this dangerous and radical idea.
Oh no, I'm going to be henpecked.
Days passed by one after another, and more than a month went by in the blink of an eye, until the winter solstice.
"Mama, Mommy, tomorrow is the Winter Solstice Festival, are you two going to take me out to play?"
Carol is six years old now, but she hasn't started attending a prestigious school yet. She has a private tutor and acts like a little adult, hands behind her back, speaking with a stern face. Liang Lin thinks the child isn't as cute as she used to be. Although her voice is still childish, she always tries to act mature, to act like an adult.
"Hey."
She bent down and pinched her daughter's cheek hard.
"Why are you making such a face like that, you little kid? It's ugly! If you go out with that face, don't call me Mama anymore. I like cute daughters."
Even with her daughter, Liang Lin can be sharp-tongued sometimes.
Upon hearing this, Carol, who was already pretending to be mature, instantly couldn't hold back anymore. Children aren't easily teased, and suddenly her eyes welled up with tears.
"Mama is a big bad person!"
She pouted, "Just because I make a face, you don't want me as your daughter anymore? Mama is so stingy!"
Liang Lin felt this child was just as sharp-tongued as she was. If she wasn't angry, she'd happily watch the child struggle weakly. Liang Di, however, grabbed Carol by the collar and gave the child a hard slap on the bottom.
"How dare you talk like that to your mother? No manners!"
Carol whimpered a couple of times, but didn't actually cry.
Liang Di put her daughter down. Carol muttered to herself, rubbing her sore bottom.
"You two are in cahoots!"
"Where did she learn that word?" Liang Lin frowned.
Liang Di, however, didn't seem to care.
"She probably reads books. She knows a lot of characters already. I don't think it's a big deal. The word itself isn't bad; it's not vulgar."
"That's true."
Liang Lin's brow relaxed.
She suddenly remembered the question Carol had asked earlier.
"The Winter Solstice Festival, of course I'll take you there. This year is different from previous years; we're not spending it at home."
Afraid of upsetting the child, Liang Lin picked her up and bounced her around a couple of times, soothingly saying, "How could we not spend this holiday with you?"
Carol's attention was diverted, and she stopped whining. She blinked her big eyes, curiously watching her two mothers.
"So, Liang Lin, if we're not spending it at home, where are we going? To the Magic Tower?"
Liang Lin shook her head, placing a fluffy little hat on Carol's head.
"Of course, we're going to the commoners' district to spend it with the commoners and my warriors. It's the most lively there, unlike our home, which is so quiet and deserted. It's also a good opportunity for the maids to go home and reunite with their families."
Carol immediately cheered, raising her little hands high.
"Great! I want to go play with my sister (referring to Hilary and Octaville's child)!"
Children are always energetic, with inexhaustible vitality. Even on holidays, it's the same.
Liang Lin felt she should put a leash on Carol to prevent her from running off. Carol was short, and weaving through crowds, she could easily disappear from sight.
"Carol! Slow down! Don't get bumped into someone!"
