V3: Chapter 25: Feel the Bond Between Me and My Daughter!

"Things are about to get turbulent again..."

"We haven't even had two days of peace yet."

Liang Di smoothly entered her sixth and a half month.

Her belly was round, but not as big as expected.

Liang Lin pointed at Liang Di's belly and said, "It doesn't look as big as when I was pregnant with Carol. You're not showing much."

She even sounded a little envious and jealous.

"If only I had been like you back then, I wouldn't have worried about being suspected. Sigh, but it's okay, it's not that big, after all, it's just a little tentacle."

Liang Di said, "I guess it's not time yet. I'm only six and a half months now. It should be quite noticeable around seven or eight months."

And she was right. By eight months, her belly really did start to show.

"Don't go out these days, Liang Di. Just stay in your room. Bellica and I will bring you your necessities, food, and clothes."

Liang Lin instructed her.

"Okay, I know, Sister Liang Lin."

Lately, Carol has been running to Liang Di's room whenever she has free time.

"Carol, be careful, don't bump into your Mommy's belly."

Liang Lin grabbed Carol, who was like a little calf, trying to calm her down.

"If you accidentally bump into your Mommy's belly, your little sister won't be here anymore."

Carol was initially defiant, but upon hearing the word "little sister," she instantly quieted down.

"Will my little sister be as cute as I was when I was little?"

Still such a narcissistic little girl.

Liang Lin liked to tease Carol.

"Who knows, what if she's cuter than you?"

Liang Di: "....."

"Sister Liang Lin, you're teasing Carol again. Be careful you don't upset her."

Liang Di winked at Liang Lin.

Liang Lin regretted saying that as soon as she finished speaking, she slapped her mouth.

Tsk.

She really couldn't control her sharp, hurtful mouth; she always said things that hurt others.

Thinking this, Liang Lin glanced at Carol to see if the little one was angry.

The result.

"Will my little sister really be cuter than me?"

"Yay!"

"That's great! I want a cute little sister so I can hold her in my arms and rock her back and forth! I love cute little sister the most, she'll definitely be like dolls. I won't need to play with dolls anymore, I want to play with my little sister!"

To be honest, when she heard the first few sentences, Liang Lin was quite touched and thought her child was very sensible.

However, upon hearing the following words, "I don't want to play with dolls anymore, I want to play with my little sister," her smile instantly froze on her face.

In a flash, an image of Carol spinning around with a baby in her arms, then both of them falling to the ground, flashed through her mind.

Carol was a big girl; a fall like that would only result in a scrape. But what if that little baby fell to the ground…

Liang Lin shuddered. She imagined it again, then the image of the baby being crushed beneath Carol.

"Hiss~"

Wouldn't that kill her instantly?

Good heavens, being crushed to death right after birth?!

Liang Lin immediately shook her head.

"No, no, no, absolutely not! Carol, you have to be a good older sister from now on. You must love and protect your little sister. You can't treat her like a doll, holding her in your arms and playing with her. What if you drop her on the ground? She'll be smashed to pieces!"

The baby wasn't even born yet, and the mother and daughter were already having a heated discussion.

Perhaps due to her pregnancy, Liang Di remained silent throughout, radiating a gentle maternal love as she looked at her wife and daughter, occasionally lowering her head to stroke her belly.

“Mommy, can I touch your belly too?”

Carol’s attention was drawn to Liang Di’s belly. She ran over and cautiously peered at it, her eyes filled with longing.

“I promise I’ll be very gentle, very very gentle, very very very gentle, I won’t hurt my little sister.”

Liang Di grabbed Carol’s wrist.

“Of course you can, touch it.”

Liang Di pulled Carol’s hand and placed it on her round belly.

“How does it feel? Can you feel your little sister inside?”

“Emmm…”

Carol scratched her head like a little monkey, but after feeling around for a while, she couldn’t feel anything.

But she still stubbornly insisted that there was a bond between her and her sister.

"I... I think I can feel my little sister!"

"She... she's moving around inside, trying to grab my hand! She really knows the one touching her outside is her older sister!"

Carol, with a serious little face, was spouting nonsense, sounding almost convincing.

This convinced Liang Lin.

"Huh? Really? You can really feel that? Let me try?"

She's so big, yet still acts like a curious child.

Carol, unable to feel anything, moved aside.

"Here, Mama, you try it and see if my little sister wants to grab your hand."

Carol's words made Liang Lin's forehead sweat.

What if I couldn't feel anything? Would it mean the baby in Liang Di's belly didn't like me as her mother?

Please, my unborn child, give me some reaction!

Liang Lin steeled herself and placed her hand on Liang Di's belly.

The result, of course, was nothing.

"Mama, can you feel my sister grabbing your hand or kicking you?"

"Uh."

What the hell is that feeling? I can't feel anything, just a round belly!

Liang Lin tried hard to sense something, but couldn't feel anything at all.

Liang Lin was visibly guilty; she was even worse at hiding her emotions than her daughter. However, her mouth remained stubbornly firm.

"I, of course I can feel it! I'm her mother, what daughter doesn't like her mother?"

She said this, but inwardly she was wondering why there was a reaction for Carol, but not for her.

Carol was also wondering why there was a reaction for her Mama, but not for her.

Could it be that my unborn daughter/sister doesn't like me?!

Liang Lin and Carol were both shocked.

Liang Di, staring at the mother and daughter with their ulterior motives, fell into a speechless silence.

"I'm telling you two..."

"I put my hand on my belly, and I didn't feel a kick or a scratch. How did you two sense anything?"
