Chapter 104: Jason Silver

The audience watched as the Miyamoto Family security guards bent forward in unison, shock spreading across their faces.

Jason Silver was no different. His pupils shrank, his mouth hanging open as he stared at the scene in disbelief.

The boy standing in front of him—the one who had made even him feel uneasy—was actually the heir of the Miyamoto Family.

Jason Silver never could have imagined that a casual street game would lead him to someone of this stature.

At that moment, even the black man who had been shouting insults felt fear creeping in. Thirty Miyamoto Family security guards spoke in unison, addressing Miyamoto Tokima as Mr. Tokima.

So that meant… he had just insulted the mother of Miyamoto Tokima of the Miyamoto Family?

Wasn’t that the same as courting death—like provoking a god right to his face?

The black man’s friend reacted instantly. He scrambled up and dropped to his knees, begging desperately.

“Mr. Tokima, I don’t know him! I was only stepping forward to take a look. You misunderstood—I wasn’t helping him at all. Please don’t misunderstand!”

The black man lay on the ground, staring at his friend in disbelief. Trembling, he pointed at him.

“Jack, you—”

Before he could finish, Jack spun around and roared, “Shut up, you idiot! I don’t even know you!”

The black man’s eyes burned with rage. If you’re going to abandon me, then don’t blame me for dragging you down with me!

He hurriedly crawled up and knelt as well, pointing straight at Jack.

“Mr. Tokima, his name is Jack! He was the one who told me to say all that. I’m innocent, Mr. Tokima!”

“Shut up! I don’t know you!”

The two instantly erupted into a heated argument.

Miyamoto Tokima had no interest in their squabble. All he cared about was one thing—someone had insulted his mother.

He raised his hand slightly. A security guard immediately rushed over and bowed.

“Mr. Tokima.”

In a voice only the two of them could hear, Miyamoto Tokima said calmly, “They’re too loud.”

The guard froze for a moment, then nodded and quietly relayed the order.

Several Miyamoto Family security guards stepped forward at once, lifting the black man and Jack and escorting them toward a vehicle.

Both men struggled violently, crying out as they were dragged away.

“No—Mr. Tokima, I was wrong! I was wrong!”

Miyamoto Tokima didn’t look back even once.

After they were taken away, more than ten security guards remained around the court to protect Miyamoto Tokima, while the rest faded into the shadows.

Just as the spectators hesitated, unsure whether to take the chance to leave, Miyamoto Tokima spoke.

“Now, let’s go one-on-one.”

The crowd immediately settled back in place. Seeing the Miyamoto Family heir was already a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—watching him play a one-on-one match was even rarer.

Jason Silver swallowed hard, his gaze toward Miyamoto Tokima completely different now.

If he had been looking at a kid earlier, now it felt like he was facing a towering deity—one he absolutely dared not offend.

Jason Silver glanced uneasily at the dozen or so Miyamoto Family security guards nearby. Others might not notice, but he knew better.

Every single one of them… was armed.

Miyamoto Tokima caught his look and understood his concern.

“Relax. It’s just a one-on-one. I won’t do anything to you.”

Jason Silver hesitated. “Really?”

Miyamoto Tokima smiled and nodded. “Of course. But since it’s a duel, there should be some stakes, right?”

Jason Silver’s body tensed instantly. He was terrified that losing might cost him his life.

“Uh… maybe we don’t need stakes…”

Miyamoto Tokima seemed to see straight through his worry.

“Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you. If you lose, you just have to agree to one thing for me. If I lose…” He paused slightly. “I’ll give you money. You’re pretty short on cash right now, aren’t you?”

Jason Silver swallowed with difficulty. He really was desperate for money, and the offer shook him.

But he had no idea what Miyamoto Tokima would ask of him.

At this point, all he could do was gamble.

Jason Silver fell into deep conflict.

Miyamoto Tokima didn’t rush him, simply waiting. If Jason Silver made the right choice, he was willing to give him a hand. If not, then it could only be blamed on his luck.

After a long moment, Jason Silver clenched his teeth.

“Let’s do it.”

A smile spread across Miyamoto Tokima’s face. “That’s more like it.”

He tossed the basketball to Jason Silver, letting him attack first.

Jason Silver didn’t refuse. With stakes involved, turning it down would’ve been idiotic.

Holding the ball in both hands, he immediately assumed an offensive stance.

Miyamoto Tokima crouched low, locking in defensively as he waited.

Jason Silver felt the pressure emanating from Miyamoto Tokima, that familiar sense of fear creeping back in.

That feeling again… what exactly is his Animal Instinct?

Jason Silver knew Miyamoto Tokima’s Animal Instinct far surpassed his own. He didn’t dare underestimate him and prepared to go all out.

He drew in a deep breath.

A savage aura burst forth from his body. Behind him, it was as if a primordial beast was taking shape… a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

“Hey—what is this feeling?”

“This brutal pressure… is this Jason Silver’s real strength?”

The spectators cried out in shock as the violent aura swept over them.

For the first time, they were truly experiencing Jason Silver’s full power.

Miyamoto Tokima felt the shift as well, surprised.

“Hm? I can actually feel the change in the atmosphere… impressive.”

He immediately realized that Jason Silver had activated his Animal Instinct and sharpened his defense.

Jason Silver slammed the ball down and launched his attack.

Despite his massive build, his speed was anything but slow—if anything, it was frighteningly fast.

He burst to the right, charging straight toward the basket.

Miyamoto Tokima matched him instantly, cutting off his path.

Jason Silver’s heart skipped.

He kept up?!

His rhythm was broken by Miyamoto Tokima’s sudden interception, but he refused to give up the opening. He powered forward, forcing a direct collision.

Boom!

A heavy impact rang out.

As a center with the [Exceptionally Strong Body], Jason Silver possessed overwhelming strength. This was the first time Miyamoto Tokima had ever encountered someone who edged him out physically.

Miyamoto Tokima was knocked back a single step.

Only then did Jason Silver snap back to reality.

What the hell did I just do?!

That’s the heir of the Miyamoto Family!
