Chapter 134: Shogo Haizaki’s Memories
Shogo Haizaki scratched his head, a grin spreading across his face.
“I thought you guys had forgotten about me.”
Miyamoto Tokima frowned.
“Haizaki, what’s going on with your hair?”
Shogo Haizaki laughed awkwardly.
“Tokima-san… I just thought it looked pretty cool…”
Thud!
Shuzo Nijimura lifted his leg and kicked Shogo Haizaki flat onto the ground.
After hitting the floor, Shogo Haizaki angrily shouted at Shuzo Nijimura,
“Nijimura, what the hell are you doing?!”
Shuzo Nijimura narrowed his eyes, clenching his left fist while his right hand cracked his knuckles with a sharp crack crack. Smiling, he slowly stepped toward Shogo Haizaki.
“So now you don’t even call me ‘senpai’ anymore?”
“What are you doing?! You’re only a year older than me! Wait—wait! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
“Aaaaaah!!!!!”
The miserable scream echoed throughout the entire airport.
Miyamoto Tokima rubbed his forehead helplessly and muttered,
“These two are unbelievable.”
Satsuki Momoi stood to the side, covering her mouth as she giggled.
“Tokima, maybe they’re just giving each other a friendly greeting after not seeing each other for so long?”
Who greets people like that?!
Miyamoto Tokima glanced at the wailing Shogo Haizaki and shot Satsuki Momoi a look.
“You’re the real demon here.”
He stepped forward and spoke up,
“That’s enough, Senior Nijimura.”
Only then did Shuzo Nijimura stop. He stood up, brushed off his hands, and said,
“Hurry up and change your hair back. I can’t stand looking at it.”
Shogo Haizaki lay on the ground, utterly dejected.
“I get it… I get it…”
Miyamoto Tokima smiled helplessly, feeling a bit of sympathy for Haizaki.
There was nothing to be done. Shuzo Nijimura’s training with the Black Emperor Dragon Team was notoriously brutal, and Victor’s teaching style was nothing like anyone else’s.
He didn’t just teach basketball skills—he taught boxing as well.
According to him, it was all about building the players’ resistance to getting hit. Boxing training toughened the body, making it easier to withstand blows.
That way, when facing dirty moves or malicious fouls on the court, injuries were far less likely.
Because of this, Shuzo Nijimura’s combat ability had skyrocketed.
Miyamoto Tokima wasn’t exaggerating—right now, Shuzo Nijimura could easily take on three Daiki Aomines. (Daiki Aomine had practically become a unit of measurement.)
All things considered, Shogo Haizaki was just unlucky.
“Get in the car. We’ll talk on the way,” Miyamoto Tokima said.
Everyone got into the vehicle, and only then did Miyamoto Tokima ask what he’d been curious about.
“Haizaki, why did you come to pick us up?” he asked.
Shogo Haizaki grinned.
“Because I’m your teammate, Tokima-san!”
Shuzo Nijimura froze.
“We don’t even know where we’re going yet. How could you possibly be our teammate?!”
Shogo Haizaki glanced at butler Hayashi. After receiving a confirming nod, he finally spoke honestly.
“Actually, I’ve been Tokima-san’s teammate for a long time now.”
Shuzo Nijimura smacked him on the head.
“You idiot, we were teammates back in middle school! What nonsense are you talking about?”
Miyamoto Tokima stopped his hand.
“Let him finish.”
Shogo Haizaki covered his head pitifully.
“Yeah, at least let me finish first.”
Shuzo Nijimura scratched his head in embarrassment.
“Go on, then.”
Only then did Shogo Haizaki continue.
“Tokima-san, do you remember the first time we fought?”
“I do. What about it?”
“After that fight… when I got out of the hospital, I was really unwilling to accept it.”
As he spoke, Shogo Haizaki’s thoughts drifted back into the past.
...
Shogo Haizaki’s memory.
“Damn it… I’ll definitely get my revenge!”
Shogo Haizaki walked out of the hospital, muttering angrily to himself.
Suddenly, three men stepped in front of him, blocking his way.
Already in a foul mood, Shogo Haizaki snapped immediately,
“Move it! Don’t block my path!”
The three men exchanged glances and pulled something from their waists.
The moment Shogo Haizaki saw what it was, he instantly went quiet.
Guns.
All three of them were holding guns.
Shogo Haizaki’s expression changed in an instant, and he forced a flattering smile.
“Uh… gentlemen? What can I do for you?”
One of the men spoke calmly,
“Our boss wants to talk to you. Come with us.”
Faced with the dark muzzles of the guns, Shogo Haizaki didn’t dare resist. He obediently followed them into the car.
Prepared for the worst, he was brought to the front of a luxurious mansion.
Staring at the enormous estate, Shogo Haizaki froze in shock.
One of the men shoved him impatiently.
“Hurry up.”
Shogo Haizaki snapped back to his senses and followed them inside.
They led him into a room, then turned and left, leaving him alone.
Shogo Haizaki looked around and noticed a middle-aged man sitting inside.
The man spoke first,
“You’re here? Come, have a seat.”
Shogo Haizaki swallowed hard, his curiosity mixed with fear.
“Y-You are…?”
He knew very well that someone who could command three armed men was either a major underworld figure or someone incredibly high-ranking. Either way, this man was unquestionably powerful.
The middle-aged man smiled gently and introduced himself,
“My surname is Miyamoto. I am the head of the Miyamoto Family. My name is Miyamoto Hiroshi. And I am also Miyamoto Tokima’s father.”
The moment he heard that, Shogo Haizaki felt as if he’d been sentenced to death.
He might not have known much about the Miyamoto Family, but he definitely knew Miyamoto Tokima.
He’d just gone and picked a fight with him. Even if he was the one who got beaten up, he had clearly been in the wrong to begin with.
Cold sweat poured down his back. His mind went completely blank.
If only he could do it all over again, he’d worship Miyamoto Tokima like an ancestor.
But time couldn’t be turned back.
Just as Shogo Haizaki was mentally preparing himself for the end, Miyamoto Hiroshi spoke again.
“Don’t be nervous. I just want to talk.”
Shogo Haizaki swallowed hard and forced himself to calm down.
Even so, the tension never left. After all, the man in front of him had subordinates carrying guns.
Shogo Haizaki staggered forward, and with a heavy thud, dropped straight to his knees.
“I—I’m sorry… I… I didn’t know he was your son. If… if I had another chance… I would never dare do something like that again!”
