Chapter 12: I'm Not Full Yet QAQ
"Yunduo, Yunduo, are you listening?"
Yunduo's consciousness was jolted awake by a puzzled shout.
She saw Kiana in front of her with a concerned look, waving her palm in front of her face as if teasing a cat.
Recalling what had just happened in her mental space, Yunduo subconsciously looked at the tissue Kiana had just thrown into the trash can.
That thing was covered in saliva... which meant it was full of unique Honkai Energy.
This amount...
It would be enough for her to use the Herrscher of Flamescion Character Card; if she suppressed its power to single S-rank, it should last for over twenty minutes.
Of course, if she used the full SSS-rank complete form of Incarnation, she probably wouldn't even last three minutes.
Yunduo: "..."
Please, just be a normal person!
A human can't—at least, they shouldn't.
Forget it.
Better just give up on becoming a Valkyrie.
As expected, a salted fish like herself should just stay lying down.
Fighting and all that, she'd leave it to them.
"I'm listening, go on."
Yunduo rubbed her throbbing temples, feeling for the first time that the world was such a terrible place.
In the long cycles of reincarnation, it was impossible to say she had no feelings for Kiana and the other Valkyries.
But bodily fluids were a bit much, whether it was blood or something else.
Yunduo really couldn't bring herself to say it.
Like, "Please, give me a kiss, then I can turn into a super strong Valkyrie~"
"I know everyone has secrets, and we won't ask you unless you want to tell us yourself."
Kiana sat on the chair by the bed, resting her chin on her hands as she spoke seriously.
A pot of lilies of the valley sat on the bedside table, and Yunduo caught their delicate fragrance.
And then there was Kiana in front of her.
Because they were so close, Yunduo could smell a faint scent, sweet like milk.
She blinked and couldn't help but secretly sniff it for a moment.
That familiar scent—it really brought back memories.
At that moment, Kiana suddenly noticed that Yunduo, lying on the hospital bed, was staring blankly at her.
The frail girl in white leaned forward and tilted her head, her smooth long hair swaying in the breeze.
The fair skin revealed by her clothes was like congealed fat, and her neck was long and slender like a swan's.
A look of nostalgia and tenderness flashed in her pitch-black eyes, and her eyelashes fluttered slightly.
For some reason, seeing this scene made Kiana's breathing slow down a notch.
She seemed afraid that a sudden movement would disturb the girl who looked like a painting.
Suddenly, the bell of the ward rang softly.
Ding-ling-ling~
Bronya and Fu Hua walked in one after the other.
Kiana also snapped out of it, realizing belatedly: "Ah, right, there's one more thing I forgot to tell you."
"Idiot Kiana, don't press down on Sister Yunduo."
As soon as Bronya entered, she saw Kiana leaning over Yunduo's bed.
Following the voice, Yunduo also saw the two of them.
Bronya was wearing a blue and white school uniform, which made her petite body look youthful and cute.
Her white stockings met the softness of her skirt as she slowed her pace.
Her grey eyes held a hint of worry and concern.
Fu Hua was the same as ever, with black-rimmed glasses and a jacket, a very low-key look.
She lacked the divine aura of her Red Kite or Azure Empyrea forms.
But this was the version of her Yunduo was most familiar with.
"I'm not, I was just talking about the dorm situation when you guys came in," Kiana explained, taking a step back.
Kiana took a step back and explained.
"That's good. I was worried Sister Yunduo would be infected by the idiot virus from this idiot, which would be bad."
"Dammit, Bronya, you start insulting me the moment you arrive! Just you wait, I'll show you!"
"Alright, don't make a scene in the ward."
Fu Hua sighed as she watched the two of them start bickering.
The two of them also knew this wasn't the place for joking around, so they calmed down.
Peace and warmth returned to the ward. "Let me explain," Fu Hua said, standing before Yunduo. "Since Kiana's dorm is short one person and there's an empty bed, and you happen to be living alone, Principal Theresa decided to have you move in with Kiana and the others."
"Live together?"
Yunduo murmured, repeating the phrase.
"But, I was doing fine where I was... I don't want to trouble you guys." She felt a bit awkward and looked away.
"Oh, Yunduo, just come live with us. Being alone in a big, big room is very lonely."
Kiana grabbed Yunduo's hand, painting a picture of the future.
"Look, if you move in, you can train with us... although I don't think you really need much training, but still, hehe~ Mei's cooking is delicious, and Bronya can be your sparring partner."
"As for me, well, uh—I can wake you up in the morning!"
Hearing this, Bronya stared at Kiana with a skeptical look.
"What are you looking at? Hmph~ I can get up early too! If we make a promise, I definitely won't oversleep!"
"Forget it. Bronya is already tired of saying the word 'idiot'."
...In the afternoon.
After Yunduo's repeated requests and a check-up confirming she had no internal injuries...
She was finally discharged from the hospital.
Before leaving, Yunduo secretly absorbed the tissue soaked in Kiana's unique Honkai Energy.
Upon contact with her fingertips... Her body was fine, but Kiana still wasn't at ease, looking back at Yunduo every two steps for fear she might fall.
Yunduo didn't have much luggage in her original dorm.
Kiana carried her clothes, while Bronya used Project Bunny to transport the heavy luggage.
"Ta-da~ We're here!"
Arriving at the Valkyrie dorm, Kiana pulled Yunduo inside as soon as she opened the door, as if seeking credit.
In the living room, there was a paw-shaped cushion in front of the game console, a few problems written on the academy blackboard, and a cute Homu calendar on the wall with black pen marks.
There was also a massive black cat plushie, larger than several people combined.
In Yunduo's bedroom, there was a soft black cat bed, and succulent plants were placed by the window.
The entire room had a fresh, cute atmosphere.
It was a very girly room.
"Hehe, I actually got a 61 on my exam yesterday!"
"Mei said if I passed, I could have eight chicken legs."
Kiana showed off her test paper as if it were a trophy.
She pulled the dazed Yunduo by the arm and went to the kitchen.
A curling aroma wafted from the kitchen, where Mei, wearing an apron, was cooking.
"Mei, Mei, look! I passed the exam!"
Kiana shouted loudly before even entering.
"Where's the paper? Let me see."
"Here~"
Mei looked at it for a moment, then looked up and said softly, "Teacher Jizi graded it wrong."
"Then what about tonight's chicken legs? QAQ"
"There aren't any."
"Waaah~"
Kiana was greatly disappointed and sighed heavily.
Dinner.
Bronya made beet soup and cream stew from her hometown.
Mei fried some tempura.
The ingredients were very fresh, and with Mei and Bronya's great skills, the misty aroma lingered for a long time.
Yunduo ate slowly, savoring every bite.
She seemed to be reminiscing about the past.
That warm yet dangerous time.
And then...
Kiana ate everything that was left.
Yunduo: "I'm not full yet QAQ"
