(~Arkham Origins~) Chapter 5

         {~meeting the first bird~}

You know how people say, teenagers are the worst? I can now only understand a fraction of what My wife will go through while I'm not there with her. want to know the best part as well. This all happened today and some other interesting developments.

(A few hours ago..)

I was doing my business helping Bruce with Uzi and Alfred while also cleaning the manner until I realised I lost connection with another drone being..J It happened while I was in the middle of cleaning Bruce's room while also testing the new sensory function from my test with my said human in my basement.

And what I used to test my sensors feels almost identical to human senses. I'm not going into that it's what I did..alright, I have no shame; I tried it out on Bruce's clean shirts, and I've never felt this kind of sensation in a long while. I guess the new sensors work.

After I was done.. totally not continuing what I was doing for another 20 minutes, I felt something get cut off, and my digital LED light eyes hallowed slightly as I frowned and went straight to where J was last, and lord and behold.. she was..not here? Where on earth..did she go off to?

There's no way she could have gotten far. I mean, I have locked every single door with the solver in this manner, excluding the room Alfred was currently in, so where?

I went around the manner to look for J or whoever took over J, and I still couldn't find her. Did I do something wrong? Is she.. hiding from me??

"*Annoyed expression*"

(Uzi Pov)

I was in the recharge room currently trying to recreate the games from my world to entertain myself and help Bruce make even more money for himself when I heard the door to the recharge room open and saw a person kind of peeking out from the door and..it's J? Why is she so.. nervous?

"Uh...hey J? What's wrong?" I ask her while I stop what in doing and turn to the door my eyes go soft yeah I'm A J enjoyer Bite me

"It's....nothing, um. Uzi can I..talk to you for a few moments?" J asked me with slight fear in her tone. Even her eyes looked Hallowed. She even had a nervous expression on her face.

I smiled to the best of my abilities also awkwardly and beckoned her closer. She finally entered and closed the door behind her, and came closer, sitting down on a chair next to me.

"So...um, I'm not very good with discussion and..talking with people all that much in general, so..what's bothering you, J?" I held her hand with my own, trying to figure out what was going on until I heard words I didn't expect that much at all.

"Are..you.. really the real Uzi..?"

I stopped for a moment, unsure of what to say, until I finally came up with a response.

"I'm...not too sure myself. Every day that goes by, I feel more and more like Uzi, my old self, is still with me, but just thinking about it weirds me out a little.." I say honestly while trying not to look annoyed by the way she said if I'm the real Uzi I nearly lost it there.

"So your..like me?" J said her nervousness went away as she smiled slightly.

"Like you..? Wait a minute don't tell me yo-"

"Yep, I was reincarnated one moment I was in my business in the city trying to make heads or tails of how my profits were going down and next thing I know a plane was right in front of my window and now I'm here as J not that I'm complaining," J said with confidence and slight arrogance.

I couldn't help but be happy. Yeah, the person who has now become J died, and that is sad, but I'm happy that I get to talk to another person.

And so began a long conversation.

"So you watched Murder Drones as well?" My eyes showed excitement while I was happy.

"Yeah but it was more so in my free time a great short series but it honestly could have been longer hell I would have paid a lot of money if they explained some stuff in like a special episode of something" J said with slight irritation and a happy expression on her face clearly remembering the series fondly.

"So now I have a question: did you have a family before you died?" J asked me a question this time.

"Well..yes and no, I did have a family, but I was kind of..left to rot? If that's the best way I can describe it," I say sadly with a short chuckle.

J just look at me with guilt and pity at the same time 

"Alright, enough about the past. Who's your favourite character in MD? And what was your name/gender in your past life?" I say curiously with a short smile.

"Heh, funny enough, I like N the most, and I was a girl in my past life, and it looks like I'm going to stay a girl in this one and my name is Pam [if I don't get caught..]", J says with a short laugh and ending it with a slightly worried expression says the last sentence to quietly.

"What was that? What did you say at the end?"

"I.. nothing, nothing for now. I'll tell you later. Right now, I have a question for you, Uzi. Who is your favourite character in MD, and what was your name/gender in your past life?" J said with a curious expression of her own.

I became nervous when she asked me that question, and I kind of looked away right in front of her. Then she now has a teasing expression.

"Ooh~ is Uzi too ashamed to tell me about her past life~ she's embarrassed ~?"  J said with a playful expression as my face/visor heated up a little.

"BITE ME! And it's nothing like that! It's just..I was a dude in my past life, and being like.." I gesture myself ", it's weird, feels wrong, and most of all, I can't understand why I'm here. Yeah, I'm completely fine being Uzi, but I just...wish I could have done more. Before I died you know.."

J took a few moments to register what she heard before her visor was covered in its form of yellow blush probably her embarrassment.

"Oh my..OH my god! I'm so so sorry I'm honestly surprised you act completely like a girl and almost like Uzi I just thought you were a girl in your own past life" J said quite quickly while also apologising to me I smiled at her reassuringly 

"No no, it's fine my old name was Gabe and my favourite character is J" I say to her while also something coming to mind with a slight smirk and my hopes and dreams on the line now

"And I w-"

"Don't finish that sentence", J said, clearly knowing what I was about to say, her yellow blush slowly appearing.

"I think you want to hear this"

"And I don't think I wanna know," J said quickly back.

"I want you-"

"No.."

"To-"

"Stop.."

"Step on me" I finished my sentence with no regrets and a proud smile while J or Pam had a large yellow blush on her visor/face. Then I felt a punch against my face, sending me flying face-first into the wall while I put up thumps.

"Worth it" I muttered quietly against the wall as I pushed myself off the wall 

J was hiding her face in her hands while looking away while her stinger tail sways around quickly.

"Alright, now that I've finally got that out of my system, can you tell me what you meant by 'if I don't get caught'?" I now ask her.

She stops hiding her face in her hands. There's still a slight blush as she clears her throat, trying to act composed.

"Don't you know what's currently out there? It's 'THAT' thing" she says with slight fear.

The only one THAT I can think of is Cyn, but she's fine. Why is Pa- wait, I remember she watched MD and has seen what Cyn or the solver has done and can do, so of course, she's afraid, but I'm just going to make sure.

"You mean Cyn?" I ask her

"Yes, I mean Cyn that..Drone destroyed the earth in MD, and I don't know what she's like-" Before she finished, I interrupted her.

"Hey, why don't you ask her yourself?" As I say that, J turns around slowly as her fear through her visor shows and sees Cyn looking up at the same height that J jumps off the chair and hides behind me while also pulling out an SMG from her hand, aiming it at Cyn, not good.

As Cyn just stared at J, her nervousness increased. I knew I had to step in quickly.

"Pam put down the SMG. He's fine. He won't do anything to you unless you make her", I say while also slowly moving her SMG hand down as she looks at me now with a shocked expression.

"Wait a second he!?? Don't tell me this Cyn is also-"

"Yeah, and pls don't provoke the one thing we can't stop by shooting her,", I say, slightly serious.

"*Annoyed expression* you have been avoiding me rude,", Cyn said to J with a not-amused face showing on her visor.

"Uh..hah..hah..hah I'm..sorry?" Just said nervously, her hand Turning back to normal as she rubbed her neck slightly.

Well, at least Cyn is not too angry about what's been. It's happening; it honestly looked like she might give J an earful if she didn't find her later.

"*Annoyed sigh* it's alright. I was looking for you in the first place to give you a rundown of things so you at least have memories from J or slightly some from me. If so good, it makes things easier," Cyn said as she began to talk to J. I went back to my computer and smiled secretly. Maybe I should make N?

(Pov change Cyn flashback ended)

And that's how Pam or J came to be. She mostly enjoys her time with Uzi a lot and speaks with her often, as well as Alfred, and that leads us to right now: I'm meeting a kid for the first time in a long while.

Bruce wanted me to watch him, a young boy that he gave a test to, and he passed with flying colours. The only thing that holds him back is his rashness.

After that, the boy came to the manner Jason Todd, also known best as Red Hood or the First Robin.

"Cyn meet Jason Jason meet Cyn you passed my test to join me but I'm not so sure Cyn feels the same way" Bruce said and I could grasp what he meant he wanted me to test Jason myself and yes I don't believe he became the famous red hood he looks nothing like that badass.

"You want me to fight your robot maid? This should be easy, and why am I getting tested by an AI??" Jason asks, annoyed at Bruce. I get where he's coming from, but even I wouldn't get cocky too quickly.

"I wouldn't be to cocky Jason this maid and robot you call her can very much put you on the ground in a few seconds she was the one that also taught me a few things" Bruce said talking nice about me and I'm going to be honest he's glazing me and oh boy did it feel great.

"*Laughter laughter* I wouldn't think I'm like those criminals you see on the street if I were you silly~" I say with a tiny smile we were currently in the part of the Batcave the training area and Jason tried punching me while I just moved slight back avoiding the punch.

Jason then tried again with a left hook of his first while I just again moved slightly out of the way if I'm going to be honest he's slow way to slow Bruce is way faster than this.

"*Giggle* slow~" another punch a right hook "*silly expression* sad~"  he tries to spin kick me I just grab his leg/foot and spin him the other direction as his body spins on himself landing himself on his back slightly hard "*happy face* sloppy~".

He looks very angry now I wonder if I should keep pushing his buttons~

"*Teasing expression* what's wrong~ I thought you said this would and I quote 'be easy' "

"Shut the hell up!!" Jason raises his voice slightly and jumps himself back up goes in for a punch again before faking it and going for another right hook and he's slightly faster this time that's good for him.

I still dodge him although before I bearly had to move this time I had to mode slightly more out of the way of his punches kicks and anything he does to mix it up until it looks like Bruce eventually stops the fight seeing me starting to get bored of dodging and as I'm about to throw a punch back Jason's eyes widden seeing a metal fist heading his way to his face way to fast for him to react until a voice intervenes.

"That's enough Cyn" Bruce voice echoed through the Batcave as Cyn fist stops so quickly near Jason's face creating alot of air pressure the fills the cave Jason sweating alot I pull my fist back and acted like nothing happened with that small small smile on my face as I bow slight to Bruce.

"*Respectful bow* Of course Bruce" and I walk over to Bruce next to him he pats my head as a good job that again makes me feel warm inside my cold robot body although that's going to change very soon~

Bruce walked over to Jason that seemed to have calmed down but looked annoyed at me wearing an angry face.

"Jason you have potential but you're not ready to do missions on your own from now on until you can manage to at least get close to hitting Cyn will you be truly ready do you understand?" Bruce said putting a hand on Jason's shoulder while Jason begrudgingly nods

"Good now follow Cyn to the manner and have something to eat I will introduce you to the other robots of this manner later I have work to do" with that Bruce went back to his computer and began typing as I beckoned Jason to follow me as I look back slightly and see the hitmen after Bruce again 

As I walked with Jason he was walking behind me staring holes into the back of my head that made me feel uncomfortable slightly until he finally spoke making me stop walking.

"I don't get it.."

"*Curious expression* what don't you get master Jason" as I turn my head slightly to look at Jason.

"I've come across a lot of people and could read what kind of person they are but your so different..your eyes don't look genuine at all sometimes but when you talk with or with Bruce they become different" Jason said giving a brief description of me so far with his first impression of me.

"*Quiet giggle* maybe your overthinking things master jason~ "

His quiet for a moment before responding "I don't think so"

As we began to walk again we walked by V as she's currently putting stuff away currently not wearing her glasses and since I'm currently focusing on Jason she loses balance and nearly falls over with the boxes Jason sees it and runs over quickly moving her and him out of the way while I watch this exchange with absolutely no change in expression.

"Are you alright?" Jason asks as he helps V up while also avoiding the obvious stinger like tail.

"Yeah thanks I keep forgetting my dam Glasses I need to keep a reminder wait your master Jason where are my manners my name is V and I help manage the combat/network here" she says with a nervous smile with putting her hand out for a handshake that he gives her.

"Nice to meet you V and please just call me Jason I've already had enough being called that by this..'thing'" he gestures to Cyn.

V looks at Cyn then Jason then laughs a little.

"Don't worry about Cyn if you lost to her she's as good as Bruce in combat so I wouldn't be so salty about it take it as a compliment Bruce got you to fight Cyn and not me" she smiles at Jason as he thinks about it for a moment and he doesn't look as annoyed as before now

"Thanks V maybe you could help train me someday it would probably been better if you had a go against me instead and"

"*Smile* you would regret that master jason~"

"And why would I Cyn" he looks annoyed again back at me

"*Ominous expression* she's more harsh in training and if you want to stand walk and taste for the next 2 weeks I would suggest you avoid that" I says giving Jason a warning

He actually looks confused and then looks at V smiling face but for some reason he felt a aura of a hunter looking at a predator that he actually sweat droped a little.

"Yeah..maybe some other time" Jason says right after that.

"CYN! I'm not that bad don't give Jason any wrong ideas about me" V said with a huffed facial expression.

While Cyn gives a not amused facial expression back to V "*annoyed expression* Bruce couldn't walk stand nore taste food for a whole 2 weeks after your training sessions"

This is a true fact one day Bruce wanted V to teach him some moves I of course agreed and right after that training session Bruce took a while 2 weeks for rest before he could go out again but holy was it it worth it he became even more built~.

He even incorporated some of V training into his own hell he didn't even regret training with V he wanted to go again at it but he was forbid by Alfred because he basically became crippled for 2 weeks because of it.

As V and Jason continued to talk he genuinely likes to talk with V that's nice while that was happening Ive let J and Uzi know that's Jason is here and they arrived a lot quicker then I thought Uzi and J looks excited while J's excitement was most contained Uzi 's was on full display.

"Oh yeah Jason meet Uzi and J some of my friends in the manner" V introduces Jason to Uzi and J.

"Hello there I'm Jason like V said and hello Uzi and J" Jason said with a small smile of his own.

"Hey Jason! I couldn't wait to meet you that's why I couldn't sleep at nights at times"

J went down next to Uzi place where her audio is received and heard through her head and whispers something that makes Uzi vsory glow purple

"B...BITE ME!" Uzi says and huff looking away while Jason is confused on what J said V laughs a little at the interaction

"Hello master Jason like from what V said my name is J I manage all financial cash and money Bruce needs or help obviously mange" J says with confidence and arrogance at the same time flicking her hair back

Again I kind of tuned out what they where saying I mean I'm half paying attention but I'm more so interested in wanting to talk with Bruce  and Alfred I need to send Jason to his room and then leave and go back to Bruce they eventually finish and let me take Jason to his room he looks alot more happy then before again good for him.

As we reached the door to his new room I hear Alfred inside and open the door that makes Alfred turn around from dusting the room and looks at the door frame where Cyn and Jason are.

"Ah you must be master Jason my name is Alfred Pennyworth I'm the butler to the Wayne manner it's nice to meet you master Jason" Alfred says politely with his hand out with a father like smile again I feel warm inside Jason shakes Alfred's hand and smile back at him.

"Just call me Jason Alfred" Jason said as they began their long conversation I decide it's time for me to head back to Bruce and keep him company for a bit then go back to experimenting until I hear a voice call out to me as I turn around slightly and see Jason's confused look and also a weird one as well.

"*Confused expression* why do you give me a weird look child" 

"Probably because everything about you screams weird! Your so.. confusing I don't know how Bruce and also Alfred and the rest can handle you"

"*Giggle* wouldn't you like to know~" 

After I said my peace I closed the door and went back to the Batcave seeing Bruce on the computer still looking at different areas of Gotham as I seat on his lap while he works he's no bothered at all by my appearance until he stops and speaks to me.

"Cyn..I have a question"

"*Curious expression* what is it Bruce?"

"Am I..making the right choice? Bringing in Jason and going around at night bring Justice to Gotham?" Bruce said not to 100% sure if he should continue on this path that's not good at all.

"*Thoughtful thinking* The choices you have made so far haven't been wrong so who's to say your wrong now? You made the right choice with jason and going out at night for Gotham even if it worries Alfred and Me no matter what choices you make no matter what path you take I will always follow you..master bruce~ *happy face*" I say with a slight grin as I speak to Bruce's a tinting smile appears on his face but it doesn't go away this time.

"Thank you Cyn for being here with me" 

"*Giggle* anytime Bruce"
